Alien spacecraft panic
THOUSANDS of Spaniards jammed television and radio switchboards with
frantic calls when a newsreader interrupted programmes with a "news
alert" of alien spacecraft hovering over New York.
The Telecinco network had planned to announce later that the broadcasts
were advertisements for the American science fiction film Independence
Day, which opens in Spain on Friday.
